pizza

salam.....
Last weekend I buat pizza...hmmm.......rasanya dah lama benar I tak buat pizza...so sesekali buat macam sedap gitu.....:). Resepi crust I ambil from 'allrecipes'.....and for topping tu biasalah...ikut citarasa sendiri.....
Kalau nak tahu...for me, 'allrecipes' website ni.. memang dah macam my food dictionary. Kalau nak masak apa2 western food mesti rujuk kat situ. Minat mula2 nak cuba masak western pun timbul masa I terjumpa this website which I think around 5-6 years ago.....:)

Pizza Crust

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker's peel dusted with cornmeal. Spread with desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.

rolls

Basic rolls

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon bread softener (optional)
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, warm milk, water, sugar and salt. Remove from heat, and mix in the eggs and yeast.
  2. Measure flour into a large bowl. Make a well in the flour, and pour milk mixture into it. Do not stir. Cover with a lid, and let stand for 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Pour melted margarine into flour, and mix well. Add more flour if too sticky. Knead lightly. Cover, and let rise for 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into rolls, and place on a baking sheet. Let rise again for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Bake rolls in a preheated 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) oven for 15 minutes, or until done.

Penne Olio with beef bacon

Actually this dish was served a few weeks ago but I only realise that I have this picture only a while ago when I was browsing my picture folder and infact there's lots more pictures that are supposed to be uploaded here but thanks to my super laziness mood......

Penne Olio with beef bacon
  • 500g penne
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 3-4 streaks of beef bacon, diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  1. In a large pot with boiling salted water cook penne until al dente. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over low heat saute garlic, parsley, red pepper flakes and bacons with olive oil . Cook until garlic turns golden in color, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Toss pasta with garlic mixture and butter or margarine. Serve warm.
